Stuck between a decision?

Are you the one who is having decidophobia? You are confused about what decision to make and highly dependent upon others to choose what is right for you. Probably because you don’t trust yourself and you have created very low self-esteem of your own in your mind because you being indecisive. You have done so much analysis for a particular decision that now it has become analysis paralysis for you. Thus you are Stuck between a decision.

Here are a few simple tips which will guide you through the decision process:

  • Have a crystal clear idea for what you want: If you want something you won’t feel dread about it. When you have two options and both of are taking him to the meantime meaning you are not happy with either of them. So when you find yourself stuck between two things you want.  
  • Don’t choose anything if you are supposed to do it: If you are pressured to make any decision that looks good, step back, and reexamine it.  
  • Take ample time for your decision and think about it: Decision-making is a task and it deserves much attention. For small, decision you might need an hour and for the larger ones at least a week or more.
  •  Discuss: You need someone to whom you can share your thoughts about certain decisions, specifically the ones who are good listeners who hear out what you say reflect upon each and event so that it becomes easier for you to come up with a decision by end of the conversation.
  • Test out your decision: In a few cases, there is an advantage to check out for your decision before actually making it. Suppose you want to move to a different city so you can visit it before you relocate. In those moments you are exposing yourself to the experience beforehand this you can analyze if it feels right or wrong.
  • Listen to your gut: There are times we struggle with one decisive ion because the mind thinks of something else and the heart wants what it wants. Then it is time to pay attention to your gut feeling.  If you are making a decision based on a coin toss think about what you want to land on. It’s sometimes good to take deeper in the sights into a decision you want to make.
