We all have heard about how the neediest are neglected in our country and the ones who have power become more powerful. Here mentioned a short story that will tell you about the unjust done to poor people and how the rich ones and ones who are in power enjoy the benefits provided to the neediest who are living in poverty, leaving them to suffer on their own creating an unequal world. So is it true anyhow that our government bias towards the financially weaker section?
Gabru’s role in donating blood has become a legend. He has given blood 127 times and helped over a 100 people with his blood. He comes from a small village, Kabirpur in Haryana.
He owns a rickshaw and rides over it with passengers, to earn his living. He lives in a two-room house with his wife and 3 sons. He is the bread winner in his family. In 1965, during the Indo-Pakistan war, the government appealed to the people to donate generously to the war cause.
The jawans were shedding their blood for the motherland, then why couldn’t he give his blood as a contribution? Gabru joined the queue of people to donate blood. He also inspired others. Many did follow him.
He received State honors for his efforts. Yet his eldest son had to discontinue studies to support the family. This happened around 55 years ago, still, the condition is the same for those who are in need.
When asked if he had complaints against officials for not helping him, he replied, I am a poor man, yet I see my way of contributing to the progress of my motherland is by donating my blood to those in need. What we demand as basic needs, we are kept deprived of. Instead of getting appreciation, which lasts for a day or even sometimes for a month, we are again left to poverty.
It proves our government’s bias towards the financially weaker section of society. The graph is sure of K type graph of the economy, leaving the poor to poverty and the rich becoming richer.
You find more and more people feathering their own nest because of corruption! Even getting Government aid under false submissions with the connivance of corrupt officials (who get a big slice of the cake); while the really needy persons are left out in the cold!
Much of the taxes are used for various groups — say the outcastes” but not on merit. Benefits or quota of all kinds are pounced upon by those who have no need of them (after handing in false documents), yet it goes on.
One important part of making the change in society should include EDUCATION and people aware of their human rights. Big officials not exploiting those rules. Education is to be aware of the unfair distribution of the Government’s largesse and find out how justice can be done.
Education is a kind of power that helps you to earn your daily sustenance; but it must not be used to get wealth through unfair means, especially depriving those in need of their rightful benefits from the government.
What is your opinion on this biasness done to people who are actually in need to get help from the government? Should people who are privileged not give benefits which they avail through using false documents?
