What a 25-year-old thinks about their country?

I was stuck about what to write next, it happens sometimes. So I was just randomly looking through the hazy sky since the air index these days in my city is extremely poor around 379. Then I thought of writing What a 25-year-old thinks about their country.

Do you know I was full of all bad things? I thought o rechecking what others feel about the same. All I heard worth praising is we are rich in cultures and values.

All other points were futuristic that we will become this, we will become superpowers, But we what currently feel, what is our position in the current situation, nobody talked.

Also, I agree with we have rich cultures and strong heritages and all, but at the same time doesn’t it triggers you to ask a question, how is all this helping us in being a prosperous nation?

What I think of India is just that I am born here and my family lives here that is the only affectionate part of me about this country, mostly for everyone I guess.

I don’t want to go from any political angle, but I know most of you will agree on the fact that We wish to go to some other country. Especially land of freedom and liberty in the United States.

So coming back to the topic when I was planning to write what a 25-year-old thinks of India, I could not think of anything apart from poverty, inequality, pollution, overpopulation, and unemployment..these things only popped up in my mind.

But do I want to talk about it?

I guess No.

Because much has been talked about it and probably that is the reason these points came in my mind.

But isn’t it sad, this is what I think about my country. I have a niece of mine who visited us in Uttar Pradesh (Varanasi to be precise) she is a six-year-old feels that it is quite a dirty and unhealthy environment in the city. The other day my mother said to me before I grow very old, I wish that our city also becomes like Pune and Bangalore, so that our kids don’t have to go to those cities. Isn’t it very minimal she expected? We millennials have lot higher expectations than this.

So it is not that am being so bad, and ridiculing our country but this is what I feel.

There are places which are high tech and world-class in our country but isn’t it the tourist places majorly.

Why can’t we have the necessities of at least proper roads and dust-free City? This? is the minimal I except.

Not talking about jobs because I strongly feel it is something very much extra we demand from our government since they are not able to fulfill the basic needs of us.

I agree with all this but at the same time doesn’t it triggers you to ask a question how is all this helping us in being superpowers.

We still are a developing country we have a lot more to do to meet the basic requirements of the residents of this country.

And in no way I am trying to defame our country, but these are the practical experience and thoughts of major millennials of our country.

Hoping we will be a prosperous nation someday and then 25 years old will have a better feeling about their country. And I don’t grow very old hopefully because maybe that is what I may say to my children’s’.
