Do social media influencers, really influence?

As people have moved away from traditional media and spent more time on social media, trendsetters have molded into more relatable “influencers.” It is no longer just celebrities who influence society’s tastes; social media stars play an increasingly larger role. These modern social media influencers are social media personalities.

So my next question to you is Are this influencer are influential?

For promoting a brand these social media influencers have become an important source these days because of their direct communication with their audience.

But not all the social media stars are influential apart from promoting a brand, because these days it all about numbers. No real values.

The irony is we somehow know all this, but still are suckers to these so-called influencers of social media.

 Somebody who is a Nobel Laureate may have less following than a gram influencer. 

Let’s consider Kylie Jenner who is a reality TV star, and a social media influencer and a makeup mogul. Just go and check her following she is one of the most followed influencers. 

Not that she is not good, she is very likable. But the question again I would ask is how is she making your life better apart from makeup tutorials by her own brand Kylie Cosmetics.

Sadly we will have to accept that we have become a content junkee. We consume all kinds of junk from Social media and think ourselves to be cool who now become aware of the new memes first, then important news, or maybe you are aware of memes more than you know your family happenings.

Consuming Social Media for entertainment sometimes is cool because few creators do put in efforts but those who are so cringe to watch have been on the top with people following. 

So my advice would be if you are really looking for someone truly influential she or he may not be so regular on social media because they are busy with their works since they are expert in their fields.

So, don’t be herd to follow specially those insta influencers so that you have something to talk to our so called cool gangs. Because trust me this not cool!

I know many of us to feel guilty about how much time we wasted on these worthless influencers (not for all).

So be careful on choosing the real influencers, who will really change your life in a positive way. If you taking those social media influencers’ junk for entertainment sometimes is okay, but don’t develop a routine for this, and don’t let it sink it all in your minds.

Be wise with what you want to watch and who you really permit to make an influence on You.
