LG stands for “Lucky- Goldstar”. The company took to the ‘Life’s Good’ slogan to sound more appealing and compete in the western markets.
In 1958, LG Electronics was founded as GoldStar. GoldStar merged with Lucky Chemical and LS Cable on 28 February 1995, changing the corporate name to Lucky-Goldstar
LG is the second-largest TV manufacturer in the world. Samsung is the first.
LG is the world’s first company to build a television, made of paper-thin material used in OLED screens, that rolls up into a poster. Its called “Wallpaper TV“
